Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress also known as producer and director. She works in television and film. She started acting on stage and went onto appear in mainstream, independent, and television series. Her most well-known roles were in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered critical acclaim, but she also won a lot of accolades. In 1995, she appeared in her first performance with The Tempest as Ariel. Apart from the Broadway production Come and Gone, she is also credited in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Film-wise she is most famous for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her work in television she's been recognized for her performance as the regular character in ABC's police drama High Incident.
