McKayla Rose Maroney retired from athletic gymnastics, and went on to become an acclaimed singer. She won the silver and gold medals in the vault competitions for both the American gymnastics team as well as The Fierce Five in the Summer Olympics in 2012. Her early life. McKayla Rose Maroney is the daughter of Erin Maroney and Mike Maroney. (died 2019.) McKayla comes from Irish Catholic heritage. Tarynn Kav has been her sibling. McKayla was homeschooled to be a gymnast. Maroney recalled, "When i was a child, I would watch Tarzan as I ran around on my fours. My mother told me that "I have to get this kid in gymnastics.. Lauren Drain wrote Banished (2013, Banished chronicles Lauren's experiences in her time as a Westboro Baptist Church Member and her eventual deportation from the Church). Lauren is currently in a relationship with Fitness model David Kagan (since August 2013) since their wedding. Aria Skye Kagan (born December 29 2019,) is their child. Lauren briefly lived in Topeka on her own however she was plagued with the recollections of her removal from the family and church. The father, mother, sister, and brother all remain part of the same church, while her parents, along with two other sisters have cut off all contact with the girl.
