
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His breakout role was Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in the television series Magnum. (1980-1988) and for which the actor received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead actor in a Drama Series which he won in 1985. From 2010 until 2010 Selleck was the New York City Police Chief Frank Reagan. In nine television series inspired by the Robert B. Parker novels, he played Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town chief of police, which began in 2005. Selleck also starred in Three Men and a Baby (1987), and Three Men and a Little Lady(1990). From the time of Magnum, P.I., the actor has appeared in more than 50 roles on TV and film, including films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He played the regular TV character of Monica Geller's love interest, Dr. Richard Burke in Friends, as Lance White (the likeable but unassuming character) on The Rockford Files and as A.J.
